It’s 2026, and BLACS begins the year with purpose, responsibility, and deep gratitude.
We created BLACS to serve Black communities and marginalized voices, with the intention of documenting our stories, amplifying our ideas, and reflecting the realities, ambitions, and excellence that often go unseen or underrepresented. As a new platform, we recognize that our growth is inseparable from the community we serve.
Over the past year, conversations across our communities have continued to evolve. Black leaders and changemakers have expanded influence in business, culture, technology, and advocacy, while pushing for equity, visibility, and economic participation. These moments remind us that progress is a shared effort, sustained support, and spaces that allow our voices to speak fully and authentically.
2026 is a year to invest in ideas, support Black-owned initiatives, and create pathways for opportunity across generations. At BLACS, we are committed to storytelling that informs, challenges, and empowers content that reflects where we are and where we are going.
As we move into this new year, we invite the community to walk with us. Read, share, subscribe, and support. Engage with the stories. Champion the vision. Please help us build a platform that not only reflects our communities but also actively contributes to their growth and visibility.
